President's Advisory Council on the College

Volunteer Opportunities

The President's Advisory Council on the College considers all aspects of the undergraduate academic experience at Brown—from curriculum and faculty and peer advising to internships, research opportunities, and career and postgraduate exploration.

The council is staffed by the Dean of the College.

Requirements:

  • Ability to offer expertise in relevant areas to the president and administrators
  • Attendance at and/or participation in two annual meetings
  • Annual philanthropic participation (at any level) encouraged/expected

Commitment:

Members serve three-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Terms may be renewed at the discretion of the president.
