First-generation college student and financial aid recipient Viva Sandoval '20 shares how a role in a musical helped ground her at Brown.
Since she was a toddler, Viva Sandoval '20 knew she wanted to be a performer. Unfortunately, she had few outlets to hone her craft.
Then, she came to Brown.
She landed a leading role in her first year. She took riveting theater classes, began singing lead in a band, and performed in two dance companies.
