For generations, Brown students have been forming vibrant communities around identities and interests on campus. Shared Interest Groups (SIGs) empower alumni to carry on the tradition of community building beyond the Van Wickle Gates.

Brown’s Shared Interest Groups bring together alumni with shared passions, affinities, and experiences—creating and sustaining meaningful connections that last a lifetime.

Shared Interest Groups can be formed around:

  • cultural affiliations
  • campus experiences
  • professional fields
  • identities
  • and more

These virtual communities offer a unique opportunity to connect with fellow Brunonians who understand the transformative impact of a Brown education and how it shapes perspectives, careers, and communities. Regardless of their focus, all Shared Interest Groups foster vibrant communities where alumni from across generations and regions can connect, share ideas, and inspire one another.

Shared Interest Groups can be found on BrownConnect+, which offers communications and community-building tools such as discussion forums, newsletters, event management resources, and more.
