Ever true. For many Brunonians, those words are resonating deeply right now.
As we collectively navigate a period of healing and recovery, we recognize the power that we find in community. And the Brown community is unlike any other. We’re thoughtful and supportive to each other. We’re steadfast and determined in what we seek to do. And we’re stronger together.
If one of your aspirations for this new year is to reconnect or dive deeper with your Brunonian network, we invite you to find the ways that work best for you. Joining the Brown alumni community is about connecting, belonging, and thriving. It’s about exploration, growth, and learning. It’s about creating momentum for a better world, together.
Here are eight ways to get involved with the Brown alumni community this year.
1. Start or rekindle friendships and reconnect with classmates
Wherever you are in the world now, you can continue community-building with others who have walked through the Van Wickle Gates. Find your nearest Brown club—throughout the U.S. and the world—to meet up with Brunonians near you. Catch up with your graduating class to see where everyone is today. Or explore Brown’s Affinity Groups and Shared Interest Groups to build meaningful relationships that can last a lifetime.

2. Volunteer to make a difference (and good memories and friends along the way)
There are many ways to volunteer your time and expertise to help the Brunonian community. You could help plan events, fundraise, serve on committees or boards, become a social media ambassador—the list goes on and on. No matter your role, as a Brown volunteer, you can strengthen your connection to the University while also gaining new skills and expanding your social and professional networks.
Look for the right volunteer opportunity
3. Expand your network and deepen your community ties through BrownConnect+
BrownConnect+ is more than an online platform—it’s a place where Brunonians support one another. You can join communities and groups, network with alumni in your profession, post jobs and internships, apply to be a mentor, and more. BrownConnect+ brings together more than 100,000 Brown alumni, students, parents, and friends for community-building, networking, mentorship, volunteerism, and connection.
4. Keep learning and exploring with fellow alums
Ready to try something new or go on an adventure this year? Brown was here for you when your education began, and it’s here for you still. The Lifelong Learning and Brown Travelers programs offer exclusive resources to alumni—whether you want to dive into a new topic, learn a new language, or plan the trip of a lifetime.

5. Be part of the conversation on social media
Follow @brownalumni to connect with fellow alums, reminisce and share memories, play Brown trivia, and so much more. You can also join groups and follow pages related to your class and Brown clubs so you can stay connected.
6. Give back to keep Brown moving forward
Every new year brings opportunities to drive progress, as well as challenges to meet head-on. When you make a gift to Brown, you can invest in what matters most to you. From financial aid to research to athletics to the arts—you get to decide where you make your impact. No matter what you choose, you will make a difference for Brown students, and the world.
7. Come back to campus for Brown Reunion 2026
If your class year ends in 1 or 6, save the date for Brown Reunion Weekend on May 22–24. Every spring, alumni from across generations return to campus for a three-day celebration of community and connection. Some of the marquee events include Campus Dance, Bruno’s Block Party, Unity Funk Nite, and the Procession, during which alumni line the streets of College Hill to cheer on graduating students as they pass through the Van Wickle Gates and join the alumni community.

8. Join in our community healing
The Brown Ever True Roadmap to Recovery was launched in the wake of the campus tragedy on December 13, 2025. It offers resources, programming, and events to help our resilient campus community heal and move forward, together. Because we are ever true.
