President's Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship

Volunteer Opportunities

The President's Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship is a group of experienced leaders and entrepreneurs who help the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship support the broader Brown entrepreneurship community.

With varied backgrounds, its members are committed to building a world-class center that combines the best of Brown’s liberal arts tradition with the entrepreneurial tools needed to help students “discharge the offices of life with usefulness and reputation.” The council is staffed by the Executive Director of the Nelson Center for Entrepreneurship.

Requirements:

  • Ability to offer expertise in relevant areas to the students whom the center serves
  • Annual philanthropic participation (at any level) encouraged/expected

Commitment:

Members serve three-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Terms may be renewed at the discretion of the president.

How To Get Involved:

Members are appointed by the University president annually. To learn more about the work of the council, contact alumni-leadership@brown.edu or visit the President’s Advisory Council on Entrepreneurship’s webpage.
