Pembroke Center Advisory Council

Volunteer Opportunities

The Pembroke Center Advisory Council is the governing body of the Friends of the Pembroke Center—a group of Brown University alumni, parents, and friends who support the Pembroke Center for Teaching and Research on Women and its scholars.

The council helps publicize the work and resources of the center, develop alumni programming, advise the director of the center and staff, and work to expand the center's financial resources and base of support.

Requirements:

  • Attendance at or participation in three annual council meetings
  • Serve on at least one council committee
  • Yearly personal contribution to Friends of the Pembroke Center

Commitment:

Members serve renewable three-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending June 30.
