Volunteer Opportunities
BrownCAN (Community-Engaged Alumni Network) seeks to maximize the positive impact of Brunonia by connecting alumni with meaningful service opportunities that align with their passions, interests, and/or expertise.
BrownCAN offers alumni a chance to support community-based organizations by leveraging their professional expertise, life experiences, and personal passions. Opportunities are curated through partnerships with the Office of Alumni Relations and the Swearer Center and initially focus on Rhode Island, with plans to expand nationally and globally.
These engagement opportunities will vary depending on community need, ranging from traditional volunteer roles such as helping at a school or food pantry to time-constrained consultant roles such as advising on fundraising plans, marketing campaigns, legal matters, or nonprofit management.
Commitment:
Time commitment varies by opportunity and alumni preference, ranging from short-term consulting projects to ongoing volunteer roles.
How To Get Involved:
Alumni can search for current opportunities via the BrownEngage portal or fill out the interest form to be matched with future opportunities.
