Battle of the Bands
Campus Dance is one of Brown’s best-loved Reunion and Commencement traditions; it brings over 14,000+ people to Brown to dance the night away on the Main Green and Simmons Quad. The evening joins together graduating seniors and their families, alumni of all ages, and Brown faculty and staff. The Campus Dance is sponsored by the Brown Alumni Association.
The Alumni Relations Office is now accepting applications for student bands interested in performing on Friday, May 24, 2024 on Simmons Quad during Campus Dance.
Application Deadline: April 12
To be considered, each band must fill out the application and upload at least three but no more than five music demo files by 5 p.m. ET on APRIL 12.
Please note: Incomplete applications will not be considered.
Based on the submitted music demo files and all requested information, a panel of judges will select one or two bands to perform at Campus Dance. Each band performing will be required to load-in and perform a sound check the afternoon of the Dance. In some years, an alumni band will also perform. In most cases, it is necessary for all bands to share equipment allowing live music to resume as quickly as possible following band change over.
The selected bands will be notified at the end of April via email. Those bands selected will be contacted for contract processing. Thanks to everyone who submits an application!
