President's Advisory Council on Engineering

Volunteer Opportunities

The President's Advisory Council on Engineering provides support and advice in the development, execution, and attainment of the School of Engineering’s strategic goals. It ensures that the school is providing a quality educational experience and embarking on the highest impact research.

Members work with campus leadership to ensure support and recognition of the key role engineering plays in the vitality of the entire Brown community. The council also coordinates with the Engineering Development Committee to ensure strategic and financial initiatives are achieved. The council is staffed by the Dean of the School of Engineering.

Requirements:

  • Ability to offer expertise in relevant areas to the president and administrators
  • Attendance at and/or participation in two annual meetings
  • Annual philanthropic participation (at any level) encouraged/expected

Commitment:

Members serve three-year terms, beginning July 1 and ending June 30. Terms may be renewed at the discretion of the president.
