A Message from the Co-Chairs
Thank you for your support of the Brown Medical Annual Fund during a year that has brought both challenges and opportunities for reflection across the Brown community. Throughout it all, the University and our medical school have continued to demonstrate resilience, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to supporting one another.
Your generosity helps ensure that students at The Warren Alpert Medical School and in the Program in Liberal Medical Education have access to an exceptional medical education, research opportunities, and the chance to grow as future physicians and leaders. We are deeply grateful for your support and for the meaningful difference you make in the lives of our students.

Breakthroughs happen when ideas meet opportunity. At The Warren Alpert Medical School, many of those opportunities are made possible by your philanthropy. This reflects a strong culture in which nearly 100% of medical students engage in research during their training, advancing studies that span the bench, bedside, and community.
For Jason Albaum MD’28, access to meaningful research opportunities was one of the reasons he chose to attend the Medical School.
“I chose Brown because of its Scholarly Concentration program in Aging, which has provided mentorship and learning experiences that have strengthened my research and deepened my interest in improving geriatric care. Our population is aging, and we need research focused on older adults. I study delirium, a common cause of confusion that can accelerate cognitive decline in older adults, and how it can be prevented.”
