Volunteer Opportunities
Brown Medical Class Volunteers serve as ambassadors for their class, helping classmates stay connected, engage with current PLME and medical students, and remain involved with The Warren Alpert Medical School.
In partnership with the Office of Biomedical Advancement, volunteers promote alumni engagement, encourage participation in events and programs, and inspire philanthropic support for the Brown Medical Annual Fund. Through these efforts, they help foster a strong, connected Brown medical alumni community across all class years.
Volunteer opportunities are available for all class years, with additional opportunities to support class engagement and outreach during reunion years.
Requirements:
- Connect with 10-15 classmates each year through email, text messages, phone calls, or written notes to share Medical School updates and encourage engagement and participation.
- Make a personal gift to the Brown Medical Annual Fund and participate in peer-to-peer fundraising efforts during key annual giving campaigns.
- Participate in occasional virtual meetings and maintain regular email communication with Biomedical Advancement staff.
- Serve as a resource for current PLME and medical students through optional mentorship and networking opportunities throughout the year.
- Reunion-year volunteers are encouraged to attend Medical Reunion Weekend and assist with reunion planning and outreach.
Commitment:
Volunteers are welcome to join at any time during the year. Time commitments vary, with additional opportunities to participate during reunion years.
