Healing-centered care focuses on wellness and moves beyond pathologizing patient experiences of trauma and reactive responses from providers. Learn how to practice healing-centered care through collaborative and bi-directional clinical encounters that allow everyone to thrive.

This lecture will discuss how equity in access to parks and nature is about more than creating green spaces; it's about promoting the health and well-being of individuals, communities, and the planet.

Biological Discovery as a Source of Innovation – the RNA story
Phillip A. Sharp, MIT Institute Professor Emeritus, Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research
Fifty years ago, the development of synthetic biology and the technology of recombinant DNA gave rise to biotechnology with remarkable advances in healthcare. The discoveries of RNA splicing, mRNA structure, RNA interference, and micro-RNAs have generated breakthrough treatments for diseases including the mRNA vaccine for COVID. Biological discovery science underwrites progress.

Commencement Procession

Feel the excitement and memories of your own graduation day as you watch the MD Class of 2024 march to their Commencement ceremony at the First Unitarian Church. Better yet, join in! Alumni are welcome to march and join in the pomp and circumstance of the day. Line up at 9:30 a.m. and the procession will step off promptly at 9:45 a.m. (Rented regalia must be returned to the parish house at the church immediately following the end of the procession).
